This Fireside Chat will provide an overview and discussion of the Research Project: "Policy Analysis of Scope of Practice Changes for Pharmacists and Optometrists and Regulation of Pharmacy Technicians"
Introduction: As per Bill 171 and Bill 179, the scope of practice regarding prescribing has changed for Ontario optometrists and is expected to change for pharmacists.
The pharmacy technician profession has also been regulated.
Objective: The purpose of this policy analysis was to identify activities, strategies, and collaborations taking place pertaining to existing and anticipated legislative changes for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and optometrists.

Bien que le Canada se soit doté de deux langues officielles, le français langue majoritaire au Québec et l'anglais langue majoritaire dans le reste du Canada, un certain nombre de francophones et d'anglophones de ce fait vivent en contexte linguistique minoritaire (CLOSM).
Des études antérieures ont montré que cette situation agit comme déterminant de la santé et entraîne un état de santé et un accès différentiel aux ressources. L'objectif de cette communication est de comparer la minorité à la majorité linguistique en termes d'accès aux professionnels de santé capable de desservir en langue minoritaire.
